The John Pawson Collection, exclusively designed for COCOON is an award-winning and timeless design of bathroom faucets, washbasins and free-standing tubs that combine elegance and minimalism.
The bathroom fittings from John Pawson is the outcome of a lengthy narrative of designing custom spouts and handles for the kitchen and bathroom, spanning over many years. Its defining geometries are based on circles and squares: forms that can be co-opted by other elements in the bathroom, to reduce visual distraction.
The compact deck-mounted mixer – JP 04 – was developed to allow installation where space is limited.
The tapware comes in three unique PVD colors, including brushed gold, steel grey and AISI 316L marine grade stainless steel. They are all PVD on brushed stainless steel, finished with NANO anti-fingerprint and anti-bacterial coating.
The JP SET11.4 stainless steel, 2-hole washbasin mixer with adjustable spout won the archiproducts design award. This deck-mounted, kitchen or bathroom mixer has a gracious perfect shape with an extremely large radius spout. With the mixer being small, only 22mm in diameter, it makes a big statement. This iconic faucet comes in three PVD colors: brushed gold, dark grey and stainless steel.
Architect and designer John Pawson, the ‘re-inventor of minimalism’. The shape of his designs for COCOON reflect the use of the ‘golden ratio’. Pawson’s designs tend to focus on ways to approach fundamental problems of space, proportion, light and materials. Some of his major commissions include the Cistercian monastery, the New York flagship store for Calvin Klein and Jil Sandler and private homes with a wide range of scale and building types. His most recent award, in 2019, he was for the New Year Honours for services to Design and Architecture. Along with many others, including the Blueprint Architect of the Year, RSA Royal Designer for the Industry and RIBA National Award, to name a few.
Pawson claims that minimalism helps to calm his “untidy mind”. 
In this “Face to Face” podcast with John Pawson, he tells Dezeen, “I feel more comfortable without the stuff around or without the clutter. It allows me to think,” he said in the interview. “[I have a] very untidy mind, very unruly and, and that’s why, you know, it’s helped me a lot to have these sorts of spaces.”
